And so my borrowed time with the Xbox360, DMC4 and GH3 is over. Woe, sad is the day. ;.;/
I suppose it's back to my cute li'l PS2 and finishing games I have have left to finish. DMC3se, MGS3 Subsistence, and GTA:ViceCity. Oh and that DMC game that no one bothers with (at least it's fun cartwheeling and running up walls). It never fails to make me laugh how bad I am at GTA. I'm no good gamer but I mean really. Also, this time I shall make a memo of trying to remember that unlike Dante, Snake actually don't know that running off cliffs and tall bridges is a bad thing.
On an end note: is "next-gen" consoles/games "current-gen" yet or what? |

Nuriko gave me the sweeney todd soundtrack. It makes me so pleased ; ;
I had an argument with my sisters today about the difference between my infatuation with sweeney todd, and theirs with anything that's 'popular'. They were saying I only liked it because depp was in it. So I had to bust out the photos of eight year old me roaming the sweeney todd set, the signed posters from the plays I'd been to, the scripts, etc. 25 years worth of devotion to the story there baby, since it started when I was six.
I don't get why people have the need to belittle the things you like with 'you only like it because it's popular'. Does it really matter WHY I like it? The point is, I do. There's usually a pretty good chance that if a ton of people like it, then it's good. Take ironman for example. On the other hand, it can be bad too... take oh... the spiderman trilogy. *is shot by spiderman fans*
It's kind of weird dealing with fifteen year old sisters. They're just stumbling into things that have been around for ages, and it's bizarre to watch them bringing this stuff to me as if I'm 'too old' to know what it is. They expect me to know the types of things my mom does, it's like in their mind I grew up in the seventies. I was BORN in the seventies, sure, but I'm not that much older then them. And so they get all shocked when I already knew the twilight books (then upset because I think it's a silly piece of tripe and suggest they read something with a little more meat *coughs*).
AHAHA OH MY GOD the soundtrack has the part where todd's wife hits on the young sailor and oh god... I forgot how funny that part was. It's not in the movie, because she's acting like a nasty, dirty prostitute and they wanted her to be 'pure', the ideal that todd kept searching for and was right under his nose, but her phrasing *tears laughing*. That's so awesome. |

OH LOOK, VIKINGS. That possibly concludes TopCow having used all possibly clichés in these stories now (ninja, mobster, crusaders, pirates, Lex Luthor rip-offs evil businessmen, cowboys and more). However, since this is a crossover ANDa continuation to First Born I still SO NEED this damn. TopCow please gif moar Jacie-daddy moments yesh (oh hah did she just say uncle Gleason?)
Speaking of Jackie. I wonder if he's been eaten by that stupid woman yet. I swear The Darkness must love to hate him at this point. Most dorky, stupid, annoying, difficult yet hilariously good and easily manipulated host ever. |

Steve Irwin might be dead, but his zoo isn't. I spent the day there on Friday with Squire and ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) threeparts, and it was indeed very enjoyable. So many animals, omg. I am a sucker for animals (providing they are not dogs).

Today, while taking my daily exercise (always nice to get out for a walk when you have to sit by the computer for hours) stroll in the surprisingly nice weather, I decided to kill two birds with one stone; bring a small plastic container and join the old folks in the bushes. Of course, I'm not as professional as the little old ladies and the little old men so didn't bring a camping stool to sit on. I figured that I am still young enough to abuse my back a bit.
Yes that sounds were weird I know but nevertheless. See, I noticed a week or three ago that the forest around the closest public exercise track* where i like to walk is completely showered in berry bushes. The forest floor is covered in blueberry and lingonberry/cowberry and even a few ditches are overgrown with wild raspberry. This amused me to no end since this forest track is basically just beside residential areas and beside a large road so it is still smack inside the city limits rather than out in the countryside. So, I decided to join in with the little old folks and the kids in reaping em some fresh goodies. I mean after all, why not.. it's free. And I do love fresh berries. ♥
 A few spoonfuls of the goodies!

Apart form lot of work for little reward, picking blueberries always has that fun side-effect of your hands looking like you just murdered someone.

Taking things for granted is always wrong. ESPECIALLY regarding computers. >.<#
I took the time to finish backing up my computer last Friday evening and happily went about formatting it thinking this would be a piece of cake. Turned out it was not. *sigh*
Apparently my luck ran out, haha ;D I've struck upon the very common troubles with trying to install Windows XP on a SATA disc.
Either my BIOS is too outdated or I need to install SATA drivers, are the two most probable solutions I've been told. But both of them is a bit of a hassle; I don't have a second disc so I can't download and install an update to my BIOS, and I don't have a FLOPPY DRIVE (which the windows installation is asking for; WHUT?!).
I did solve the floppy issue though, by snagging one from a nearby computer. So I'm gonna try that tonight and see if it works. I hope it does, because otherwise, I have no idea how I'll go about updating the BIOS. @.@

| What a day for a daydream |

Today was crazy. Got up at eight am and went to mom's house to give her a ride to work. After being there an HOUR, she decided that she really just wanted me to give John (her husband...ish..) a ride to her work so they could rent a car. Okay fine, whatever I don't care.
Hour after that, and a trip back to get the office keys sicne he forgot them, and drop john off. Then it was off to watch dark knight. I liked this movie, but then again, I'm *more* of a fan of mafia then I am of the old school comics. Yes I've read a shitton of classic batman, but ... well... I really like the sopranos feel to batman in this movie. It was kind of bizarre to see batman as a plot device more then an actual character, but whatever.
After movie I get a phone call, they can't rent a car. So they ask for a ride to the repair shop to pick up the van. We get there and John tries it and the fucker STARTS RIGHT UP. Bastard van.
I was sulking about it, until we were about to leave and John waves us down. It's not starting anymore. So he's got to leave it to get repaired, and now he needs a ride back home. Okay that's fine, give John a ride back home and they buy more pizza. I... I... I think I hate pizza. It's been one pizza day after another for days now and I can REALLY do without it, seriously.
Dinner involved about two hours worth of short jokes. Literally. I wish I could express how this goes but basically I walk into the house and everyone starts busting out the short jokes and *does not stop* until I leave. And by everyone, I mean everyone. Mom, John, the twins, and if my brothers are there, them too. So upwards of seven people all cracking short jokes at me (today it was just four though). I actually like being short. It's nice to cuddle up in someone's arms when you hug and be all snuggled close and safe and wrapped up. It's a moment for me to let down my defenses and just *be*, if that makes sense, and my height has a lot to do with that (hey man, when I cuddle, I'm serious bzniz!). So normally the short jokes make me laugh. But two hours of them can get a liiiiiiittle old.
Got chased by the parrot. Always a fun thing. Got chased by the other parrot, yet another fun thing.
got home, transfered another drawing, then watched the last six episodes of avatar all at once. Wow, that was an intense ride.
and now it's one am and I need to crash. But all in all it was a good day. the only real downer is I found out that someone broke my little glass diffuser for my glass teapot. That makes me sad ; ; I'll have to find another, because I really wanted to have some of this loose leaf tea I picked up at the store today that sounded yummy. Oh well. |

jhgjshdfjeijd THERE IS THIS ANNOYING BUZZING NOISE LIKE, IN MY WALL OR SOMETHING AND IT WON'T STOP. I have no idea what it is; I'd assume it was the air conditioner or something because there's this giant metal contraption on my side of the house. no it is not aliens. But WHY it started droning at me NOW all of a sudden I have no clue. It stops for like two minutes when I bang on the wall but just comes back. And my parents are asleep so I can't get them to do anything. T-T God damn, like I'm going to sleep tonight.
OHOHOH. NEW ARTEMIS FOWL BOOK IS OUT. I totally didn't realize it but my mum gave me a coupon for Borders and was like "HMM maybeeee the new Artemis Fowl book is out now" and I was like "lolol ya right I would know if it was out." Cue me feeling stupid. xDD But now I have something to read instead of summer reading on my lovely trip to the beach next week.
On the topic of books, I've also just read the third Percy Jackson and the Olympians book, The Titan's Curse and the uh, fourth(?) Demonata book, Bec. I AM SUCH A DORK HAHA.
So w-wait. The Avatar finale the other day was the actual END of Avatar? Like, no more evaaar? Or am I just hallucinating? Not that I watched the finale though so don't say anythiiiing.
Ocean's Eleven was on TV earlier. Despite seeing it once before I soooo was not expecting that ending. Haha I fail.
I need to get a whole lot of crap done before this Saturday, argh. Speaking of - would anyone be willing to beta my KH AU fic? If I ever finish it, that is. General proofreading would be great; check for typos which I make a lot of, pick out ginormous plot holes, smack me on the head for rampant OOC, etc. I've only actually written....er, some of it, but I figure I'd attempt to get what I have of it beta'd while I'm away for a week.

Well the day went... well.
rose came over about noon and we got a lot of running around done. Then we hung out and watched batman beyond. Since we're going to see dark knight tomorrow morning.
I've got more illustration board, and I got a secret surprise drawing for adri transfered to paint on the plane (sure it's not secret surprise that I'm doign a painting for her, but she doesn't know hat it is and that's the secret surprise. Muahah. Now to plot out the next ones.)
Picking mom up from the airport was great, she apologized profusely for everything under the sun,and gave rose and mitch gas money for providing transportation. She was very nice and very sweet and I got apologies all around, so I'm happy. Nothing else went wrong today, so I'm feeling pretty good.
Tomorrow I won't be on much. I'm giving mom a ride to work in the morning, then I'm heading over to watch dark knight. Then I'm back here and doing the last of my mat cutting/finalizing everything for dragoncon/getting it all in the mail if possible. I might be able to mail it out this weekend, which would be awesome. |

Hello world, it is two in the fucking morning where I am and I can't get any fucking sleep.
...sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but I'm rather annoyed at myself for letting my sleeping hours get so out of whack. Now I go to bed at 3-4 AM and sleep until 11-12, then take a nap around 5 PM.
Since this is summer vacation, I suppose that's alright to some extent, but unfortunately, it isn't a very good practice to get into considering I have color guard on Thursday, and many more practices thereafter (ugh, now that I think about it, I really have to practice routine). For those who don't know, Marching Band practices are FUCKING INSANE as far as the amount of time/energy/money that goes into it. You get there at 8:45 in the morning and they work you like a dog until 9:15 AT NIGHT. Longer than a full-time job.
I love MB. I love it to death. I don't like waking up in the morning for ANYTHING. I need to set my internal clock straight before horrors upon horrors are unleashed upon my slacking color guard arse.
...So yeah. I think I'll read and practice my Swedish until I drop dead. That or work on chapter four. Dunno yet.
...by the way, everyone should read Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker. Trust me.

Also, final for the anthology piece dooone, approved and out of my hair.Got sketches transfered to board for painting on the plane (well two anyway, I'd really like to have about five or six pieces of varying sizes to work on there, along with some blank board).
Big surprise, sarah canceled coming over to get her mats cut today. She's sick, so I don't feel too irritated at it, but I have NO CLUE what she's going to do for mat cutting at this rate. I've got limited time, SHE has limited time, sick or not. It doesn't hurt me any not to cut her mats for her, but I'd feel bad if she can't get any art in the art show because she didn't cut her mats in time.
caught a spider that was seriously a good two inches across, crawling on my desk. I'm creeped out and have no desire to sit here any longer. Someone rescue me from the spiders ; ; |
